In the before pic I weighed 270 lbs. That photo was taken the night I decided to change my life. I was sick of feeling bad about my weight. I was sick of being disappointed by what I saw in the mirror day. And I was sick of being unhealthy.
That night I joined MyFitnessPal and started the 5K Runner program. I knew I had to change. Counting calories helped me to keep on top of what I was eating because otherwise I would simply ignore the calorie value and eat whatever I wanted. I am proud to say that I can now run a full 5K without stopping and I am so glad I took that first step that night.
I have been having a hard time keeping up my healthy lifestyle for the past few weeks and I felt like I needed to do something to remind myself why I started and why I can’t go back to eating junk and sitting on my butt. This before and after is to re-motivate myself to keep going. Why stop now when I’ve come so far? I may gain a little back from time to time but I will never stop pushing to reach my goal. Less than 30 lbs now. I can do this.
